In a shocking crime that unfolded on 1st December in Palghar district, Maharashtra, a 16-year-old boy allegedly murdered his eight-year-old neighbor in a fit of rage. The girl who got hurt was teasing the boy, and this caused some really bad things to happen in Pelhar village.

The grim discovery took place three days later, revealing the heinous crime that had occurred in a chawl in the village. The police in the area acted quickly and caught the teenage boy from Jalna district on Wednesday for the murder. Additionally, they arrested the boy’s father because he tried to get rid of the victim’s body.

Officials from the Pelhar police station in Vasai revealed that the 16-year-old suspect admitted to the crime when questioned. The teenage girl disappeared on December 1 after going out to buy ice cream, and her family reported her missing. The police searched for her but couldn’t find anything until December 4. Unfortunately, they found her decomposed body in a plastic bag in an empty room in the building.

Following this gruesome discovery, the police initiated legal action, registering a case under IPC sections 363 (kidnapping), 302 (murder) & 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence) against unidentified persons. They sent the victim’s body to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The investigation shifted when they found the 16-year-old missing around the time of the body discovery. After looking into it more, they found out he was involved in the crime. He later admitted to killing the girl because she had been teasing him a lot. He said he wanted to teach her a lesson.

On the fateful night of 1st December, he seized an opportunity when the girl ventured out alone. Dragging her into his house, he reportedly strangled her to death. Confounded about what to do with the body, he kept it hidden in their residence for 2 days. Later, he confessed to his father, and they moved the victim’s body to an empty room in their chawl.

Detectives found crucial evidence linking the accused to the crime scene, including the girl’s slippers discovered at the entrance of their room. Suspicion grew & it was uncovered that the father had sent his teenage son to their hometown in Jalna district following the recovery of the body. Subsequently, a police team apprehended the boy, bring him back to Pelhar for further investigation.

As the inquiry unfolds, authorities are diligently working to unravel the entire details surrounding this tragic incident.
